Stuck on something? Email support@joinberg.app and tell us what's going on. You can also reach us from inside the app: Profile → Settings → Contact Support.

Signing in

Berg uses magic links, so there's no password to forget. Enter your email on the sign-in screen and we'll send you a link, tap it and you're in. You can also sign in with Google or Apple. If a magic link email hasn't shown up after a couple of minutes, check spam, and make sure you're checking the same inbox you signed up with.

If you signed up with Google or Apple and later try signing in with that same email address a different way, Berg links it to your existing account automatically, you won't end up with duplicates.

Finding friends

Berg can check your contacts to see who's already here, nothing is uploaded or shown to anyone else, it's just used to find matches. You can turn this on or off any time from Settings. If a friend isn't on Berg yet, you can send them your invite link directly from the app.

Notifications

If you're not getting notified about matches, plans, or messages, start with your phone's notification settings for Berg and make sure they're allowed. Inside the app, Settings has toggles for what you get notified about, worth a check if something feels missing. On iPhone, a fresh install occasionally needs the app reopened once before notifications kick in.

Calendar sync

Calendar sync is optional. When it's on, Berg only checks whether you're free or busy at a given time, it never reads titles, locations, or details of your events. You can disconnect it any time from Settings.

Plans and memories

A "motive" is just a plan, pick a time, a place, and who's coming. After it happens, attendees get a nudge to drop a photo and a vibe tag, that's what turns into a memory card. If a plan or memory isn't showing up right, try pulling to refresh, and let us know if it still looks off.

Blocking or reporting someone

You can block or report another user from their profile. Blocking is one-directional and immediate, they won't be able to see your activity or reach you, and you won't see theirs. If someone's behavior needs our attention beyond a block, email us and we'll look into it.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account from Settings inside the app, or request deletion from our data deletion page. This removes your profile, messages, and uploaded photos. See our Privacy Policy for how long that takes and what we keep for legal reasons.

Something's broken

Sorry about that. The more detail you can give us, what you were doing, what you expected, what happened instead, and your device type, the faster we can track it down. Screenshots help a lot too.

Still stuck?

Email support@joinberg.app and we'll get back to you. If it's about your account specifically, send it from the email address you signed up with, it helps us find you faster.
